After graduating from University of Toronto medical school, Dr. Susan Ellard completed an internship and internal medicine degree, as well as medical oncology training in British Columbia, then a research fellowship in new drug development in Glasgow. She returned to be a founding member of the medical oncology department in Kelowna, and has practiced in breast, genitourinary, and gynecologic cancer throughout her career. Susan helped create the clinical trials team and program at BC Cancer Kelowna; has led many trials at her site; and remains a keenly engaged investigator, as well as working to advance exercise oncology and health promotion in the Interior. Susan has also participated in the Planetary Health Committee for BC Cancer since its inception. Since 2021 she has been Kelowna’s department leader for medical oncology.
