Dr. Theresa Chan has been a staff medical oncologist at BC Cancer (Surrey) since 2008, and is Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of British Columbia Department of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at the University of British Columbia and internal medicine training at Western University. She then returned to the University of British Columbia for medical oncology residency. Her clinical practice specializes in gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and breast malignancies. She participates in drug access and approvals, and currently serves as Systemic Therapy Chair of the BC Gastrointestinal Tumor Group. She is also involved in outpatient clinical teaching and served as Medical Oncology Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education Director (Surrey site) from 2010-2016.
