Diego Villa is a medical oncologist at the BC Cancer – Vancouver Cancer Centre and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia. In addition to attending to patients with lymphomas and breast cancer, he also teaches trainees and conducts research in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas. His main research interests include mantle cell lymphoma, primary and secondary CNS lymphomas, and the role of PET/CT in lymphoid malignancies. He presently leads national prospective trials of novel therapies in aggressive lymphomas. Over the years he has collaborated with several international groups on NHL studies, with over 100 publications in the peer-reviewed literature. Dr. Villa is also lymphoma co-chair with the Canadian Cancer Trials Group.

Dr. Zulfiqar received his Internal Medicine training at University of Michigan affiliated hospitals and subsequently completed Medical Oncology and Hematology combined program training program at University of Kansas Medical Center. He served in Faculty of Memorial University of Newfoundland and as a consultant medical oncologist with Eastern Cancer Care program for 7 years after moving to Canada.
Currently serving as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at UBC with clinical work based in BC Cancer – Abbotsford as a medical oncologist where his main areas of cancer treatment and research are CNS malignancies and gastrointestinal cancer. His area of interest is stress management and resilience, physician wellness and empowering patients with tools to cope with the immense stress that comes during the journey of cancer treatment.

Nathalie LeVasseur is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver since October 2019. She received her medical degree in 2013 and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Ottawa. She subsequently pursued a residency in medical oncology at the University of British Columbia and served as chief resident before completing a breast cancer clinical and research fellowship at the BC Cancer Agency.
Dr. LeVasseur is the current chair of Breast Systemic Policy in BC, the co-lead of the Breast Cancer Clinical Trials Unit in Vancouver and serves on the CCTG IND Executive Committee and the BC Personalized Oncogenomics Steering Committee. Her research focus is in the development of personalized oncology with informative tools, genomics and transcriptomics. Additionally, the improvement of patient outcomes and survivorship is an area of ongoing research interest.
Dr. LeVasseur is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She holds professional memberships with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Canadian Association of Medical Oncology, among others. She has received academic achievement awards including a Conquer Cancer ASCO Merit Award, NOYCIA Award and a Coltman Scholars Award.
