Dr. Chahal is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and a medical oncologist at BC Cancer, Vancouver Centre, specializing in central nervous system cancers and gastrointestinal cancers. She completed her BSc and PhD in Experimental Oncology at the University of Alberta, focusing on translational research in glioblastoma. She received her medical degree at Queen’s University, and completed her Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology residency at UBC and BC Cancer- Vancouver Centre. She subsequently undertook a neuro-oncology fellowship at BC Cancer- Vancouver and Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Her research interests include molecular studies, outcomes-based research, and clinical trials in CNS cancers.

Dr. Gagnon is a medical oncologist who treats genitourinary, gynaecological and breast malignancies. His research interests are real-world evidence and biomarkers in advanced prostate cancer. Dr. Dan Le is a staff medical oncologist at BC Cancer specializing in breast, gastrointestinal, and central nervous system malignancies. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and the Managing Director of the BC Cancer Medical and Dental Staff Association.
He earned dual Bachelor degrees in Life Sciences (BSc) and Commerce (BComm) at Queen’s University, as well as Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees at UBC. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at UBC followed by his Medical Oncology residency and Breast Oncology Fellowship at BC Cancer.
Dr. Le has led numerous quality improvement and systems innovation projects over the last 15+ years including developing the Integrated Cancer Control Improvement Program (winner of the 2009 Excellence in BC Healthcare Award), northern BC’s first integrated breast health clinic, and key aspects of the Northern Cancer Control Strategy which led to the development of the BC Cancer Centre for the North. He was a Co-Principal Investigator on a pilot grant that led to the development of the BC Cancer After Breast Cancer Clinic, a nurse practitioner-led breast cancer survivorship clinic formed as a joint partnership between BC Cancer and BC Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Le continues to actively teach at the UBC medical school and is an award-winning researcher in the areas of quality improvement and breast cancer. He has been recognized with provincial and national awards including the 2012 Rising Star Health Service Award as well as the Pfizer Canada ASPIRE Breast Cancer Early Investigator Research Award.

Dr. Simon D. Baxter is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and a Medical Oncologist at BC Cancer – Kelowna. Dr. Baxter received a BScH in Biochemistry from Queen’s University, and an MD from the University of Toronto. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Western University, and Medical Oncology at the University of British Columbia where he served as chief resident. His clinical practice focuses on patients with lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
Dr. Baxter has active interests in physician advocacy and engagement, and workforce planning, with an aim of supporting a robust and sustainable cancer care system.

Dr. Eigl is a staff medical oncologist at BC Cancer Vancouver Centre, and Clinical Associate Professor, University of British Columbia. He is the Founding Director of the Provincial Clinical Trials Office, and Deputy Head, Department of Clinical Research at BC Cancer. The focus of his roles is to strengthen and further develop the clinical trial capabilities of all six BC cancer centers, and to improve access to clinical trials for those living with cancer across British Columbia. His own research interests center on genitourinary oncology clinical trials and biomarker research, with a special focus in bladder cancer.

Dr Ying Wang is an Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and a medical oncologist specializing in thoracic malignancies at BC Cancer Vancouver.
She completed her medical oncology fellowship at BC Cancer, and subsequently undertook a thoracic research fellowship at McMaster University and completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health.
Her research interest is in health services research and exercise physiology pertaining to patients with various thoracic malignancies.

Dr. Saroj Niraula is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia and a Medical Oncologist specializing in the treatment of breast cancer at BC Cancer. Hailing from the Himalayan country of Nepal, his professional journey spans several countries, enriching his academic background and expertise. He completed a clinical research fellowship at the University of Toronto, where he also earned a graduate degree in clinical epidemiology and health care research. Dr. Niraula’s research focuses on drug regulatory science, clinical trials methodology, and cancer drug development.
He frequently appears as the lead and/or senior author in publications in international peer-reviewed journals, including high-impact journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology and JAMA Oncology, and has secured several peer-reviewed grants. Committed to addressing cancer care disparities at local, national, and international levels Dr. Niraula is actively involved in global oncology efforts worldwide. He has received merit awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). His humanitarian efforts have earned him prestigious recognitions, including being named one of the top 25 Canadian Immigrants and receiving the Manitoba future 40 below 40 honor.
